I am Miss Commonwealth Africa 2010. I became Miss
Commonwealth Nigeria in 2009; and becoming a Commonwealth
Ambassador from a National level to an International level
has been a life changing experience for me. Throughout my
reign, I have gotten the opportunity to meet important
personalities and celebrities, walk the red carpet and
travel to beautiful diverse countries. Being present at the
London Fashion week and the Notting Hill Carnival was a
really thrilling and fun experience for me. I was able to
interact with people from different backgrounds and
culture. Shortly afterwards I was invited as a special
guest to the 2010 Commonwealth Games held in New Delhi and
I felt really honoured.
With all these among others I am most glad that I've
touched the lives of a lot of people especially the youths
and younger kids by raising money for different Charities.
My life has been changed through the numerous opportunities
that have presented themselves to me.
In my voluntary community role as a Cultural and Charity
Ambassador, I promoted sports as a way of fun and learning
in schools, donated to paediatric wards and orphanages,
organised youth empowerment seminars in schools and raised
awareness for Cervical Cancer. My most recent Chieftancy
Title given to me by my people as "Ada di Ora Nma" allowed
me promote Culture and Tourism in many ways.
I thank God, my family, every person, every organisation,
and every government body, both home and aboard, for all
the support and contributions made to ensure I carried out
my role wit ease and success.
I am glad that an opportunity has been created for another Nigerian girl to be crowned Miss Commonwealth Nigeria 2012. I hope the new queen will be able to enjoy the benefits and opportunities that comes with the crown. Good luck.
